A prisoner in a pillory was a person who was placed in a wooden framework that neck and hands were clamped into a frame. The pillory was often placed in public places so that the townspeople could see the offender exposing them to public ridicule and punishment. Sculpted cold cast bronze is bronze powder mixed with resin. The figure is then hand-painted to give it an antique look.
